The 2023 Kia Sportage in Albuquerque, NM Gets an Exciting Makeover

The Kia Sportage has been the longest-running model of the brand since its conception, and now in its fifth generation, it gets a full redesign that makes it safer, larger, and more stylish than ever. With new trail-ready models waiting for your next off-road adventure, the 2023 Kia Sportage in Albuquerque, NM brings the latest technology to both design and purpose for a powerful driving experience.  

A Total Transformation

This redesign is the boldest the Sportage has ever seen, and you’ll notice the difference as soon as you look at the vehicle. Boomerang-shaped daytime running lights now align on either side of the larger front grille, and sharper lines and angles give the new Sportage a futuristic look but with rugged details. 

The length of the vehicle has grown by seven inches, and the wheelbase is now 3.4 inches longer. In fact, the Kia Sportage is now longer and taller and even more spacious inside. Five adults can fit comfortably, even in the rear seats, with more legroom than most other SUVs in this segment. Behind the back seats, the cargo area has a class-leading 39.6 cubic feet of space for whatever you need to haul. 

The engine has also been upgraded to a 2.5-liter 4-cylinder that delivers up to 187 hp and is matched to an 8-speed automatic transmission that sends the power to the front or all four wheels (FWD or AWD). And even though the new engine is larger and more powerful than before, this model gets better gas mileage than previous versions.

Inside the 2023 Kia Sportage in Albuquerque, NM

 A massive dual panoramic curved display with not one, but two 12.3-inch screens- one for the infotainment scheme and one for the digital instrument cluster- is the focal point of the cabin. It features a combined multi-function touchscreen controller while also giving the driver and front passenger connectivity. For added safety, an available 360-degree Surround View Monitor with a 3-D view can give the driver a bird’s-eye view of the SUV and its surroundings. Found throughout the Sportage are hooks to hold cords, several USB ports, and an available wireless smartphone charger. Getting online on the go will be a snap with an integrated Wi-Fi hotspot, which can connect up to five devices. And all trim levels come standard equipped with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. 

Modern style furniture was the inspiration for the new seats, which keep your ride as comfortable as relaxing on your sofa in your home. Several smart storage solutions are also included, such as cup holders that can be removed to hold a phone or tablet. 

Added Trim Levels

 Previously, the Sportage came in four trim levels, but the 2023 Kia Sportage in Albuquerque, NM offers more, with new adventure-ready trims that can take you on rugged terrains as soon as you leave the dealership. Each of these new versions has standard AWD and an added 1.5 inches of ground clearance. They also come with water-resistant SynTex synthetic leather seats with a tread-like stitching pattern. You can even opt for all-terrain tires if you choose one of the new trims: X-Line, X-Pro, and X-Pro Prestige.
