Kia Adds the GT Trim to the 2023 Kia EV6 near Santa Fe NM
Kia’s first all-electric vehicle made it to the U.S. just a short year ago, which is why we don’t expect any changes to the model for the upcoming year. In its brief time on sale, the EV6 has earned an assortment of awards, and has sold out in every dealership. It’s also one of the more distinctive looking electric vehicles offered today. However, there is something fresh in store for the 2023 Kia EV6 near Santa Fe NM. A new trim level has been added to the EV6 lineup and will make it to dealerships sometime in the last quarter of 2022. The new model is the EV6 GT, which received significant upgrades over the regular model to boost power and enhance handling, making it a new rival in the performance-oriented car segment!
The EV6 GT delivers 576 horsepower– the most powerful production Kia ever- and will get you from 0-61 mph in a scant 3.5 seconds! It includes seven drive modes (three of which are exclusive to the GT), the most exciting one being a new drift mode, which sends all the power to the rear wheels for tire-spinning, sideways thrills! There’s a “My Drive Mode” feature too, that lets the driver tune individual components of the car to their own specific tastes. The EV6 GT also has a top speed of 161 mph and in an independent third-party test, it beat the (gasoline-powered) Ferrari Roma and a Lamborghini Huracan Spyder RWD on the dragstrip!
So Much to Like About the 2023 Kia EV6 near Santa Fe NM
Not long after being crowned the 2022 European Car of the Year, the unique EV6 won the prestigious international Red Dot Design Awards with the “Best of the Best” title for its forward-thinking design, along with the Red Dot “Innovative Products” award. Created according to Kia’s design philosophy, “Opposites United,” which promises a strong visual identity with contrasting mixtures of sculptural shapes and sharp styling elements, the EV6 is also the first Kia vehicle based on the automaker’s advanced Electric-Global Modular Platform (E-GMP). Thanks to this platform, the EV6 is able to offer one of the roomiest cabins in its segment, a range of up to 310 miles, and 800-volt super-fast charging technology that allows the crossover to charge from 10% to 80% in about 18 minutes.
The batteries are placed low under the load floor because of the E-GMP platform, which provides a flat surface inside for improved interior space and comfort. The standard model 2023 Kia EV6 near Santa Fe NM uses sustainable cabin materials such as recycled plastics and vegan leather. The GT trim gets performance front bucket seats with vegan suede-trimmed upholstery. Neon lights inside the GT add an exclusive burst of color, and Kia sets up ambient lighting on the center console, dash, and door panels.
2023 Kia EV6 Technology
Standard equipment in the EV6 includes dual 12.3-inch displays, one for driver information and the other for infotainment. Wireless device charging is standard too, plus Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, multiple UBS ports, dual-zone climate controls, an intelligent key system with push-button start, and a Wi-Fi hotspot.
The GT comes with a vehicle-to-load (V2L) system which allows it to run external equipment and charge other electric vehicles. This system offers up to 1900 watts of power, but it isn’t unlimited because it comes from the EV6’s batteries.
